*whew*
Our AC drain was replaced today and I escaped the whole ordeal. Hooray! Army of Dad's buddy came over and in exchange for large fries, a HungerBuster and a beer, he had assistance from someone much more versed in which tool is which. Fortunately this dude was off work today and just gave AoD a call to say hey and *smartly* AoD asked him to come help. This dude even brought some tools we didn't have and was able to advise AoD on a few things he'd need to have before he got started. So, that was awesome. Now, we're good as new and it only cost us $19.05!!! The lowest bid we got for the job was $150 and everyone else was $250 or higher! Can't beat that.
Now, I'm about to feed children and then take Child No. 1 out for some special just with mom time. I think we're going to check out the Hispanic Heritage Celebration. It is free (always a good price) and the UNT Mariachi Aguilas and Ballet Folklorico Mexico Magic y Folklor will be performing. I love that stuff. I must be the craziest gringo around. I have always loved the Hispanic culture. Shhhh, don't tell anyone, but when I was a little girl I used to cry because I wanted to be Mexican. One of my many dreams is to one day have a birthday party fiesta complete with a Mariachi band playing in the back yard while AoD makes fajitas. Let the Sangria flow!
