News flash: fat people have bad or no sex
According to a story on Yahoo news, new research confirms the worst fears of those who worry about putting on extra pounds: Severely overweight people are much more likely to report poor sex lives.
Is this REALLY a news story? I know that since I've put on weight after having kids, my sex drive isn't quite what it used to be because I don't feel as attractive as I once did. When I felt really good about myself, I was even more of a horn dog than I am now.

AoM,
Have you ever heard Jim Croce's version of Nobody Loves a Fat Girl? It was orginally penned and sung by Sophie Tucker.

Kat - first off, you're not fat.
And WP ... not a clue about the song or performer. I'll check out the links.
I still love the Queen song, Fat Bottomed Girls. It has been my anthem!

AoM,
Jim Croce was an excellent singer, and I think you will enjoy the links.
As for Queens tune- oh yeah!
I have to admit, that the best strip tease I ever saw, twenty-years back and in the Army, was in Columbus, Georgia. and the stripper fit Queen's tune to a tee, and everyone, and I mean everyone stopped when she started, and the entire place was quiet, except for her music, while she performed.
Each and every soldier there was saluting her when she was done...

Nice to find someone else who likes Jim Croce. I thought I had heard everything he ever did (including "Gunga Din"), but I never heard "Nobody Loves a Fat Girl".
AoM, if you've ever listened to any oldies station you've heard Jim Croce. Even my kids sing "Bad Bad Leroy Brown"

Sorry I wasn't clear on that. I know Jim Croce, not Sophie Trucker.
And, I have discovered that the female form's sex appeal (IMHO) has more to do with how she uses it and moves than the actual appearance. I have seen Barbie dolls turn men off by their attitudes while gals like me with junk in the trunk turn many a head.

Here's some info about Sophie Tucker.
As for the rest of your comment, you are spot on. Most guys that I have talked to are like me - attitude counts far more than just looks. One of the sexiest actresses I ever saw (based on the roles she was playing at the time) was Conchata Ferrell - big, brassy, and just plain cool (not so much in her current role on "Two and a Half Men", but several years ago).
To put it a bit crudely, looking is nice but touching is a lot better.

Yep. I have discovered that about men. They are much more forgiving of our physical flaws if we make up for it in other, er, ways.
The Sir Mix-a-lot tune is another anthem of mine.
An LA face with an Oakland booty.
Now THAT is poetry!
