Psycho hunter
Psycho hunter went on a rampage and killed a bunch of people, just sniping from a deer stand that wasn't his.
I knew as soon as I heard the type of weapon this asshole used that whiney gun control people were going to start bitching about an assault weapons ban again. Hello, people. Listen to me and listen good, bad people are going to get their hands on weapons whether they are banned or not. At least if they are legal, then the good guys can be equally armed instead of at a deficit when trying to defend themselves.
Although, one question immediately came to mind when I heard about this - why didn't anyone get a good shot on this guy? Maybe he was camouflaged well in the deer stand? I don't know. I heard that the hunters did fire back, but this guy wasn't hit.

I wouldn't have been outgunned. I am still surprised that none of the other hunters got this punk...I would think that my hunting buddies or I would have gotten him. I wish more details were available...

It is standard operating proceedure for the VPC to dance in the blood of innocents each and every time.
As for none of the other hunters nailing him, think ambush and not expecting anything like this to happen.
Third instance in as many weeks; two here in Texas (Weslaco and Richardson) and now Wisconsin.
Makes you think real hard about coincidences, doesn't it...

AoM: In your comment, you mention the "good guys" and that at least they would be equally armed without a "scary-looking gun" ban. That's true, and all of us here know what you mean by "good guys" and "bad guys".
The problem is, though, that these damn liberals do not or cannot distinguish between "good guys" and "bad guys"! In their estimation, we're all good guys or we're all bad guys, it's all relative. So, instead of allowing good guys to fight back against the bad guys, let's just ban all the guns and hope that the bad guys follow the rules. Because, well, why wouldn't they follow the rules?
This really makes you want to pull your hair out.
I have a friend who is catholic who convinced me to change my position on the death penalty. I am now against it because I do not trust the government to prove guilt, so I would rather not risk the innocent being executed.
However, this friend opposes the death penalty for the guilty, because he says "we're all guilty, none of us are innocent". Well, yeah, for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. But if you're guilty of murder and I am not, then you deserve the death penalty! ARGH!
Arguing with my friend on these topics can be frustrating to say the least.

Thanks for the info. Damn police union chiefs...out of step with cops on the street. When I was a cop we had a response for "assault weapons". We carried our own. They can do the same.

I grew up very near where this happened and my Grandparents used to have a hunting cabin in this area. He didn't shoot from the deerstand. He left and then came back with the SKS. One of the guys who was shot called his friends from the cabin with a walkie talkie and when they came to help him the guy shot them as well. From the way the bodies were located distant from one another it seems he chased them down. The people coming to check from the cabin likely weren't armed, but I don't know about the rest. Like you I was unsurprised by the "whiney gun control" spin put on the guy having the SKS.

I read on Fox that there was only one gun between all of the victims. That would explain how he was able to get all of them without getting shot himself.
This wouldn't have happened in Texas the same way. No Texan would go out there unarmed!
