I love a man in uniform
I think I was wrong. I thought Elvis served in the 2nd Armored Division. But, it looks like it must have been 3rd Armored Division. Just wanted to post that little correction. Unlike my colleagues in the mainstream media, I don't want to knowingly promote a falsehood.
What a cutie.
Gees, I love a man in uniform. It was really bad to get divorced and move to Fort Hood, home of 40,000 soldiers (now most of them are deployed, but back then they were all there minus the guys at NTC and when they came back from NTC, they were happy to see gals like me!). Best place in the world to go meet a prospective husband! Not that I was looking for that, but it is what I found.

Fort Hood, you say? 40,000 soldiers, you say? Hmmm... I do love a man who knows how to take orders. ;-)

Oh girl, you don't know the half of it. When I lived there - now this was about seven to eight years ago before the giant deployments going on now - but there were about 8 men for every woman in the general population of Killeen. And, there were lots of single men who were former military around town, too. I dated a couple of Fort Hood firefighters as well as a couple of soldiers before hooking up with Army of Dad.
Was very good for my fragile ego.
