They saw it coming
Tsunami pics. They saw it coming, but no one had any concept of the magnitude of what was about to happen to them. 1-6-05 EDITOR'S NOTE: JUST FOUND OUT THESE ARE NOT TSUNAMI PICS, BUT SOME FROM A RIVER INCIDENT IN CHINA TWO YEARS AGO. MANY THANKS TO SNOPES.
Just a guess, but those umbrellas aren't going to do much good. I suppose if they were Mary Poppins umbrellas they'd help. I feel really bad, but I keep thinking of all kinds of silly little things like "ooh, I don't want to get my hair wet. I hope this umbrella helps."
Look at the dipwad standing on the truck to take a picture.
One word. Run. I mean, if you run like me, it won't do you any good, but I just can't imagine standing there to take a picture. Those waters must have been moving sooooo fast.

Ok, it would be hard to do much besides stand there with 500 mph waves rolling at you. I can see myself thinking, I might as well take a picture. :)
And, yeah, Kat, I thought the same thing. If this happened in rural Texas this would be the exchange:
Well, looky there Earl. That is one big sumbitch water bout to drowned us. Well, shit, Mable just cleaned the floors, too.

Sorry, I don't have a blogger account so I'm posting anonymously.
I read this article on Fark that said these pictures were false. http://www.crikey.com.au/media/2005/01/04-0004.html

Thanks Stacy. My hubby just sent me an email that a co-worker discovered on Snopes that they're from a Chinese river incident two years ago.
Thanks for the heads up. I made a note on the posting.
