I love this car
LabKat loves mustangs even more than I do. But, they rock! The new concept was released. Kat has all the pictures. Go look and make sure you have a napkin to wipe up the drool.
I got to interview the chief nameplate engineer for the all-new Mustang. This due also served as the vehicle engineering manager for the Mustang line, Hau Thai-Tang led the development and launch of the 2001 Mustang GT, V-6, Cobra and Bullitt GT models. He was also vehicle dynamics supervisor and vehicle engineering manager for the 2000 Lincoln LS, which was awarded the Motor Trend Car of the Year honor and was named the Best Driving Domestic Sedan by Road & Track magazine.
Thai-Tang’s Ford experience also includes an assignment in Germany, as well as working with Ford Racing. Born in Vietnam, Thai-Tang grew up in New York City. He joined Ford as a Ford College Graduate trainee in 1988. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University and a master’s from the University of Michigan. In 2001, he received the Automotive Hall of Fame’s prestigious Young Leadership and Excellence Award.
Wow. I bet it is cool to be this guy.
I bet he loves his job.

I like the '65-'73 and '99-'04 Stangs but outside of that I hate them. What I hate more is retrofication. It's by far one of the stupidest things ford has ever done. While Chevrolet continues with its current designs on the Vette the mustang is taken back to the 60s except this time with a serious blend of ass. Its really stupid because what is the next generation going to be like? The last time ford retrofied anything was the thunderbird, and then they shut that one down. I just don't like these new ones, they're just plain ugly, only the cobras I can stand (What you posted). The 6cylinders....AGHH. Oh well. LOL, i'm ranting again. But I don't doubt Thai-Tang's abilities or AoM's personal tastes. This car just sucks. One of the most over-rated vehicles of our time. Flame away lol

The pics were promo shots provided by Ford.
And, Cashin. My dear Cashin. *shaking my head sadly* Youth is wasted on the young. My dear boy, this new car is so groovy, you have no idea. Retrofied. I love that word by the way. The new Corvettes are so much better looking than the old Corvettes, agreed. And the 80s Mustangs sucked ass, you're right about that, too. But, my dear lad, you are sorely mistaken about this new car. Makes me wet just to look at it.

Don't forget the 90s Mustangs, they also sucked really bad.
Hmmm, I think I will have to print out some Mustang pics...

Oh well I suppose. My beef is that the car looks submissive. From the side the headlights point toward the center and the car's 2 grills wrap around each other forming a circle inbetween the lights. It makes the car look like its smiling. What happened to the mean 450 horse beast? its smiling at me for gods sake!!! Chrysler and GM point the headlights toward the fenders, it gives the car a more aggressive look. Though i'll admit I like the rear end, but the front end just turns me off to the whole project. A few years back ford unveiled a MUCH better retrofied mustang, hot as shit.

To each his own. There are several cars that I think are just hideous that AoD loves and I think my taste in cars is equally as weird to him. I just like this car A LOT.
I still want to paint some flames on my minivan and get some spinning rims. I think that would be funny. I wonder what kinds of looks I'd get pulling into the soccer fields.
