My new favorite reality show
These shows are so stupid that I feel like a dork for being sucked in, but I love this one.
Beauty and the Geek was so bizarre. They took seven dorks and seven hot chicks. The deal is that the dorks have to help the stupid girls get smarter and the chicks have to help the dorks get cooler. I think the girls have the easier job here. It is much easier to take a dork to normal guy status. I used to do it all the time in high school. I'd see potential in a dude, date him, teach him to dress and then voila, he was cool. Sort of like that 80s move Can't Buy Me Love but without the big bucks for the ruined leather jacket.
Anyway. A couple of guys weren't that dorky. Ok, one guy was after all because he kept getting nosebleeds whenever he got nervous. The other guy, Brad, was someone I'd think was cute and evidently I wasn't the only one becasue one of the hot chicks was making out with him that first night. One dude is a white Urkel, but I think it has to be an act. NO ONE is THAT dorky.
Wednesday nights at 7 p.m. Central time. Be there.

Umm, my middle son would be that dorky. He's nice, he's smart, his looks are alright, but, well, he's a dork. Honors Mathematics, and his college roomies have majors in Physics and Computer Science. No smoking, no drinking, no partying at their place.
As a mother, I tried my best with him, but he is his own person and he will find his own way in this world.
