Hip hip hooray

Went to the infectious disease doctor this morning. He examined my boo-boo, as Stinkerbelle calls it.

He said it looks great and it really does. There is no more redness, no more oozing, nothing gross. It is actually healing over and looking really good. He speculated that because this is the site where the doctor had to dig out the embedded and twisted staple that it had probably abcessed and now it has all gotten out.

WOO HOO!

Never thought I'd be doing the dance of love over having an abcess. Seems weird. But, it is true. The doc gave me a prescription for antibiotics as a precaution to kill any germs that may have gotten in there and told me to keep using the antibiotic ointment and keeping it clean. Yippee. Thanks for all the prayers.
