Most hated phrase
There are two actually and I don't hate them ALL the time. Just right now.
I do it myself.
and
Let me do it.
Uttered by the almost 3-year-old. You can figure it out, I bet.

I think I feel you on this one.Kids always want to help when they are too little. They will either just be in the way or make more work for you because you have to clean up after them. But when they get old enough to be able to help you it is like "pulling teeth" to get them to help you do anything. Is that what you meant?

Bingo!
Absolutely what I mean. Stinkerbelle wants to put on her own shoes - but puts them on the wrong feet; she wants to put the video in the VCR - but puts it in upside down; she wants to buckle her own seatbelt -but she doesn't have the dexterity to make it work; etc. etc.
And, yeah, when she is old enough to do these things, she'll no longer be interested in doing them, I'm sure.
*sigh*

I know how to fix this one...Start asking them to do things. Then the new hated phrase is "Don't want to."

Yeah, she came up with something tonight that irritated me, but I've blinked since she did it and now it escapes me. The mommy fog.

I think I figured out where she got that from. I saw Baby Bop singing about "I'll do it myself".
Yet another reason to hate Barney.
