Follow the bouncing ball
Remember those little sing-along cartoons we watched as kids that you followed the bouncing ball so you'd know the lyrics to the songs? I still can't spell Mississippi without singing that song.
Why couldn't they make a song for Albuquerque?
I'm writing a story about the city and cannot spell its name to save my life. Cut and paste, baby.

You and me both. 40 some years later I still find myself singing "it used to be so hard to spell, it used to make me cry. But since I've studied spelling its just like apple pie. Oh...
M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I"
Can you buy those cartoons anywhere?

I bet you can find them on Ebay or Amazon.com. I was shocked to see Sigmund and the SeaMonsters on Amazon. So, I imagine they have it all available now.

Yes, we were young kids living in the Philippines and I fully remember those cartoons. I loved the one with MISSISSIPPI because like you, that is how I remember to spell it. I wish there was some way they could bring them back as a DVD collection or something.

They do have these on DVD. The creator is from the University of North Texas - in the town where I live. How cool is that?
