Meltdown
That is my middle name. But, in this case I'm talking about Ice Age 2: The Meltdown *said in my best TV announcer voice* Coming to a theater near you March 31. I plan on taking the kids tomorrow. Should be fun.
Scrat is my prehistoric self, I think.

Don't take your kids to see this. Here's the foul language they will get to hear. In the first 5 minutes comes ASS. Followed soon by PERVERT, CRAP, and DAMN. Then they refer to sex the rest of the time. This movie is not for kids. And it wasn't even funny. Bad writing and bad language. Shame on Ray Romano for being part of this movie.

We went to see it and didn't think it was that bad. Most of the adult-oriented jokes you're mentioning they didn't even get and of course anytime you can say "ass" the kids find that terribly amusing.
We all enjoyed the movie. No, it wasn't as funny as the first one, but I still thought it was pretty good. I didn't think it was referring to sex the whole time and I didn't think it wasn't a kids' movie. I think it is rated PG, so that does communicate that there will be some facets that aren't directed at kids same as something like Shrek.

I found myself looking over at my wife several times when the objectionable dialogue surfaced and she was looking back at me with the same face. When the little 4 year old girl behind us started yelling out PERVERT!! every 5 seconds I was ready to pack up and leave.
Take out the 4-5 unnecessary words and phrases and the movie was still not very funny. Watch the first one again.

*shrug*
Radio talk show guys today were saying the same thing you said, chasenfold.
I'm not the kind of person to take my kids to just everything either. But, after seeing stinkers like "Doogal" I guess this movie seemed like Academy Award material. Just a heads up, don't waste your time on Doogal.
But, I think my thing with this movie is that I love Scrat the squirrel and he was in it a lot and very funny.
*shrug* I don't think my kids will be scarred from it. Do I think the questionable language was appropriate? No. But, I think they'll get by just fine. However, had some kid behind me been yelling 'pervert' over and over, I might have thought twice.
