Geekfest approacheth
Pickle and I are getting ready for Geekfest. The boy got a new Starfleet uniform, so he is ready to go. It is sort of amusing that he prefers Star Wars over Star Trek, yet he enjoys being Ensign Pickle.
We had so much fun at the last comic con that we look forward to every sci-fi con for months. You just never know when you'll get to meet Alien and Predator.
This week, Pickle is most excited about making another comic book and meeting Bobafett from the old Star Wars movies. I'm most stoked about Alan Ruck. I thought about getting a Redwings shirt (osbsure Ferris Bueller reference) to wear for a snapshot with him. There is always Denise Crosby and Gates McFadden, too.

Same dude, you are correct. It will be fun. I have been more stoked about past geekfests, but it is always worth $10 to see all the people dressed up, if nothing else.
They're having an Xmen costume contest, too. That might be fun. Wonder who will come painted blue and naked?

Wish I could go, but I have drill up at Camp Maxey this weekend. I'd would've liked to meet the Punisher model, though.
I once met the woman who was the model and inspiration for Death in Neil Gaiman's The Sandman comic series. Pretty nice girl for a goth chick. I could see where her 'tude and look combined to shape Death's character, so it was kinda neat.
