Princess of Perk
Oooh, I bet Anne Curry is fuming over this one. Apparently, one of the chicks from The View has been picked to replace the Perky Princess at the Today show. I watched the Today show until last election year when they did everything they could to demonstrate how evil all Republicans are. It was very apparent. I could really care less about your politics as long as you present a balanced view unless you are a commentary type show like a radio talk show. If you purport your show is a news show, I expect a fair and balanced report. I never go that on the Today show. So, now I watch our local show, Fox 4 Good Day.

I think Meredith from The View is not the right fit.
I wish they would have given it to Anne or Campbell Brown.
But I don't watch Today anymore either, so what does my opinion matter?
I also watch Good Day. Sing it with me AOM, Good day, have you had a good day lately?

I'm lucky to catch the news on the radio driving to work. "Perky" and "early in the morning" do not mix for me.

CBS will rue the day they hired Couric! I sat in with an event with Bob Schieffer last night and he was the most amazing and humble guy.
I think Ann Curry should have been the pick, but then again, I never watch Today...I always watch Fox and Friends:-) I do like the Early Show, but that is because I know the wonderful Rene Syler, whose sister is the PR head at TCU and who helped set the Schieffer thing last night...it was great!

NBC has screwed up big time. I like Meredith but she doesn't have the right chemistry for the Today show.
