Get your kicks
on Route 66. I love the DePeche Mode version of the song.
But, I digress. We went to see Cars this weekend and I loved it. I want to go see it again to make sure I didn't miss anything.
I highly recommend it. Good viewing. If you're a race fan, you'll love all the little race gags including Darrel Waltrip's commentary as Darrel Cartrip. Good stuff.

I loved the John Mayer version of "Route 66" at the end of the movie. So much so that I immediately looked for it on iTunes Music Store when I got home. It turns out you have to purchase the entire soundtrack to get the song. I'm too cheap for that.

Great movie that turned out better than I expected. I especially loved the movies at the drive-in at during the closing credits.
Disney dropped the marketing ball big-time during Toy Story when they didn't have Sid's toys available (college kids made their own copies for a long time). If they don't roll out the cars that appeared in the drive-in movies, they will lose even more merchandising revenue.

I didn't realize it was David Mayer. I liked his version, too, in the movie.
Great flick. And, yeah the merchandising will be big. I've seen stuff everywhere. Hadn't looked at it before with great attention as I will now.
