Pizza, soccer and soda
We bought a family four pack deal for the FC Dallas game. It was quite the deal. For $65 we got four tickets in the corner (they were nice seats on the bleachers), a $15 park up close pass, four personal pan pizzas (it is Pizza Hut Park, after all) and four large sodas. Not too bad.
The big screen was cool. There was another one on the other side of the end of the field, too. This was at the start of the game. FC Dallas is in the red and white. They were playing the Columbus Crew, who won 2-1.
The view was great. Oh yeah, the game, too. We got to watch the bench-players warm up. It was great to watch the keepers from this area, too.
The smiles on the kids' faces were cracking me up. This was at the end of the game. That is the other big screen down there. Kenny Chesney is supposed to do a concert here later this year and EdgeFest will be here in a few weeks. Wish I could go. I would love to see Drowning Pool and the Toadies (who are getting back together for the show). But, I digress. The kids were good. Hot Rod spilled his drink and Stinkerbelle was antsy after a while, but overall not bad. Oh, and have I mentioned that I think Family Bathrooms ROCK? If not, I should have. These are the GREATEST inventions on the planet. Our Movie Tavern has one and the American Airlines Center has them, Pizza Hut Park and DFW's International Terminal D has them, too. They are incredible when you have kids with you. No longer do my older boys have to be embarassed that mom won't let them go in the boys' room alone. I can peek in the family bathroom, deem it safe and send them in without worry. Or we can all go together. It is wonderful.
Ok enough potty talk. The officiating in the game was crummy, but it was still a fun game. We'll go back. We've had a sports kind of year this year. So far, Hot Rod has been to a Rangers game, Desperados game and a FC Dallas game. I've been to all of those and a Mavs game. Army of Dad has been to all of those and add a Dallas Stars regular season and playoff game. Lucky dog.
Go Mavs. We'll be watching Thursday.

That is a very pretty park - don't know if I can do the soccer thing though. Let's see in this past season... I'll count the beginning of Sept as my "year".. I've been to Stars training camp, an exhibition game, at least 5 regular season games and a playoff game, 3 Rangers games and a Martins Mill 9th grade basketball game :)

BT is going big time with the games he sees!
I love the soccer games, though.
