My favorite place ...
Pickle proudly phoned me this afternoon to tell me he just found out that he won the PTA Reflections art contest for the sixth grade at his middle school. The theme for this year's contest was "My favorite place" and, of course, the goofy little anime/comic book nerd that he is, he decided that AnimeFest was his favorite place.
It is sort of hard to tell when I make the photo so much smaller to fit the page, but he has drawn all his favorite anime characters in ink. Uzz has a great enhanced image It is pretty impressive, I must say.
Now, we don't know yet if he moves on in competition or how it works, but we'll try to find out.
For now, I'm a proud momma.

That's my boy! I am really proud of and for him today...this should really prove to him that he has a gift and needs to work even harder to fine tune that gift!

Oh, to be able to draw like that....
I had a friend growing up who could, I always felt to inadequate next to her.
She says she always wanted to be able to do wonderful stuff in the kitchen like I do.

You should definitely be proud! Look at that great artwork! Congrats!!! My daughter also won for her 3rd grade in LIT, but can't figure our when the district meeting is going to bein OK!
