Scary stuff

It appears we have a new pervert in my town who is sexually assaulting women around the UNT campus. What is really scary to me is that I spend a lot of time in that area. I take walks there while one of my kids goes to classes there and I get coffee, hang out, take the boys to the barber shop, etc. all in that area from time to time. The good thing is that I am seldom there in the wee hours unless my husband is with me.

However, lately, I've taken to carrying my pocket knife in my pocket pretty much all the time. A scary guy at Hobby Lobby the other day got my guard up and the knife has stayed there ever since. Now, I just need to do some more practice with it to get a smoother flick of the blade.

I am going to start boxing classes *stop laughing* in a few weeks. I'm sort of excited about that. I think it will be a good workout and fun, too. Plus, I'll learn something new.
