Oh thank Jesus, the gods of football finally heard my pleas and answered my prayers.
The Cowboys released Vanderjacked. Now, I'm not sure if we've gone from bad to worse, but I don't think it could get much worse than to pay the $5.4 million over three years to a big-headed jerk who shanks way too many field goals.
We'll see if "journeyman" Martin Gramatica can put some through the uprights. God help us.

Even though he cuts into our salary cap next season, I am glad he is gone! It sends a great message to the rest of the team! It is unreal to hear how cocky Vandersuck really was!

I don't think he will count against next year's cap number. His total bonus must count against this year's number though. Plus some one will pick him up this year and take the Cowboys off the hook for the remainder of his salary this year.

Well it looks like Uzz was right about that bonus. According to the article in the Dallas Morning News the pro-rated portion for the remaining two years will count on the cap next year.
