Muffin Top
Have you ever heard of this? My best friend introduced me to this phrase by mentioning that she is working out to avoid having a muffin top.
According to the Wikipedia definition: Muffin top (or muffin top girl) is a generally pejorative, slang term for a person, usually female, whose flabby midsection spills over the waistline of his or her pants in a manner that resembles the top of a muffin spilling over its casing. The phenomenon generally occurs when an individual squeezes into low-rise or hip-hugger pants and midriff-baring tops that are arguably undersized for the individual's weight.
I finally bought some belts and they have helped me avoid this tragic consequence of, perhaps, eating too many muffins.

The solution, my dear friends, is to simply buy pants a size bigger. I haven't understood why gals try to pour themselves into pants a size too small when they can look great in the next size up. For instance, I see this alot in gals who probably only weigh 120 pounds. Just buy the size 8 instead of the size 6 and you'll look fantastic. A simple solution.

I just don't understand this "fashion trend". I work on a college campus and this muffin top thing seems to be the norm instead of the rarity.
As I always say..."just because they make it in your size...doesn't me you should be wearing" of course in this case it doesn't even fit.
Congrats to UNT! Well deserved!.r

I'm so "yesterday"! I just heard "muffin top" from a host on QVC. I think the...er... "phenomenon" has been magnified by the popularity of low-rise pants (mostly jeans).
IMO, higher-waisted styles, usually coupled with a boot-cut leg are the most flattering for the majority of figures. And yep, you're right about sizing up, too!

I love it when I hear a phrase so descriptive that I can't help using it in normal conversation. I've heard this one before and I think it's totally fitting for the look.
Get some pants that fit and you'll look waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay sexier! :)
