I've decided to shed all these falsehoods and be who I truly am.
I've decided to trade in my sneakers for some Birkenstocks, listen to Melissa Ethridge and stop shaving my pits and legs. I'm going to leave my family behind to move to a commune in glorious California where I will be the chief spokeswoman for the California Lesbians for Hillary Clinton in '08.
Don't weep for me, this has been coming for many years.

Nobody pulled any pranks on me this year. A welcome change from the days when I had 3 teenage sons in the house, plus their dad cheered them on.
This weekend, he was too busy dealing with water in the basement. We've had double the usual precipitation for this time of year.

The shop vac took up about 3 gallons right away, then we've been using a mop and wringer bucket at regular intervals. Probably less than 7 gallons all told, but the one corner keeps oozing, even if the temp outside is now 73 on a lovely sunny day.
I have a feeling we might get caught up just as the 60% chance of rain tomorrow comes.
I tell ya, this house is older than I am, and iffen I had the $money, I'd use it as a tear-down then re-build on this lot, which is in a wonderful neighborhood.
As it is, we're calling for estimates from contractors.
