Learning to eat again
Life post-gallbladder has been fairly interesting. Every meal is an adventure, because I'm not sure what I can or cannot eat without my stomach twisting up and sending me to the bathroom within minutes of eating.
I have learned that I can tolerate ranch dressing, barbecued sausage, cheese ravioli, garlic bread, cheese enchiladas with rice and refried beans and spaghetti with meatballs.
I also have learned that tater tots from Sonic are a bad choice as is a potato and egg taquito from Whataburger.
Which brings me to my next stop today ... I just ate the taquito.

This is why my DH lost so much weight in the beginning! Eventually, your body gets used to it! Hang in there!

Not po-TAY-toes!!!
Thank goodness you are doing OK with less-than-bland food, though.
Prayers wishing you well, sweetie!!

I had my gall bladder out in Jan of 07 and don't eat like I used to and not because of choice. The only fast food that I can have is the ocassional Wendy's Chilli but other then that it's veggies, fruit, water, and home cooked beef and fish. Anything else and digestive issues start up. Food doesn't taste the same either. I tried to have the Big Macs again but it just wasn't the same.
Good Luck

I have noticed the heartburn with certain foods. I have only had heartburn twice in my life before. So, this sort of sucks.
