Remember D-Day

Pickle's grandfather was part of the D-Day invasion, so we have some historical ties to the day. But, it is one that is an important part of US history - it shows our dedication to freedom worldwide. If only our country appreciated it more, I would be glad.

Hug a veteran or military dependent and say a prayer for those who died in service. We are forever indebted to their sacrifices and to those their families make.

You may not agree with the President, Lord knows even those of us who support him shake our heads now and then, but he does love this country and wants to see freedom ring across the globe. I believe his heart is in the right place. I took this photo of President and Mrs. Bush back in November at a rally in Dallas. I thought the flag in the foreground was a nice touch. That flag is something I proudly fly today.
