Third place
Lots of drama and stories to tell, but I'm exhausted. We didn't get home till 10:15 tonight and we (as in the adults in the family) are usually in bed by that time. So, we had to bathe children and get them ready for bed. We made a come-from-behind win in the bottom of the last inning with two outs to win third place in the city tournament. Great work boys! I'll blog more about this over the weekend. For now, I'm taking my aching body to bed. We never thought this team would win four games when we first practiced with them. We went 14-4 this season. Not too shabby.

This little team was well coached - hat tip to my dear husband - and that is one of the keys to their success. While other teams still had kids rolling around on the ground during the game or fighting with their teammates over the ball, we had the pitcher running to cover first when the first baseman had to come out to field a ball. We were getting runners out at second on force plays ... these kids just really stepped up and listened to the good coaching they had!!!

Please pass along congrats on the 3rd place to both your son and his coaches, and the great record for the season.
