Reasons to join the NRA
Army of Dad is already an NRA member, so we didn't join at the Hunters' Extravaganza on Saturday, but we had to get a picture with that sign. And, yes, Kim, he is wearing your shirt. We also bought him a shirt that says I hunt and I vote.

A coupla days ago after watching a well-known movie, I came up with a new personalized license plate to replace an existing plate that I've been sporting for almost a year (also based on a movie-- a lesser-known one). Frankly, I was surprised it wasn't taken. There are so many combos with "SKY" [Saturn Sky reference] that are already out there. I know some people won't get it, but the right folks (i.e. a bit geeky :-) will. Best part is... it's only six characters, so I can get my NRA specialty plate back. w00t!
My current plate has seven, so I had to go with the "Scenic (Mountain to Seashore)" version.
Side note: I had no idea that Virginia has 180 specialty plates now! Geez Louise.
I recommend going to a gun show and joining the NRA (or extending your membership-- unless you have a "lifetime" one, of course), and getting a discount on the entrance fee. Sometimes they throw in a free cap, too :-)
