Merry Collin-mas!
We celebrated Collinmas on Saturday with my parents by opening gifts and then attending a UNT men's basketball game that evening. What is Collinmas, you ask? It's when we all mark the celebrated birth of that hubba hubba honey of a man, Collin Mangrum. He marked his birthday on Dec. 11 and though far apart, we all felt the joy of the occasion. Hot Rod (here with Collin last month after an SMU game) came up with the naming of the holiday last year when we started our new tradition of a UNT basketball tree. He said we should celebrate Collinmas and keep it in our hearts. :) So, the tradition was born. And, while Collin left UNT and defected to SMU, we still love him regardless.
We had a chance to meet SMU basketball Coach Matt Doherty, who was kind enough to visit here with Hot Rod and shake our hands, too.
And, while he's No. 1 in our hearts, he is also No. 1 for SMU. He had his very own Collin Mangrum Fan Club with me, Army of Dad and Hot Rod. The other two kids were at relatives' homes and missed the festive event. We did do the wave for Collin and had the pleasure of sitting with his folks during the game.
Of course, these are but a few of the wonderful photos I took of him playing. I have a good with him tossing that mop of hair, too. *heart beating faster*
There was the obligatory muscled arm photo and him putting up a 3-pointer.

I'm gathering that you wish they still wore the old pre-1985 b-ball trunks; the ones with significantly less material . . .

*giggling*
That is awesome. I dated basketball players in high school (despite being 5'2) and loved those long legs! I was showing my kids my high school yearbook and the uniform my boyfriend wore. They were SOOOOO grossed out by the short shorts. I sorta liked 'em. :)

But then again, there is a kid that is a sr. that runs on the cc and track team for Kennedale...He is friends with Joey. When he runs down the street my 25 yr old neighbor (and me) and any of her friends that may be outside with her, kinda turn into zombies. Drooling at the mouth and stumbling toward the road in pursuit.
He will stop at the house when Joey is home. Sweating, no shirt, and I keep telling myself (quit looking, he's younger than your youngest son...quit looking) He doesn't stop by so much anymore. I guess I made him nervous. Oh well...
your cuz
